ARTISTS RELEASES NEWS LINKS FI SCI RECORDS

news Hi, Welcome to our web site. After several years signed to Polygram, Ute have created Fi Sci Records. Fi Sci will be a progessive label releasing records by a range of artists working in that space where so many musics collide. Fi Sci aim to supply the listener with quality sounds from people working in areas from the highly abstract to the sweet & soulful. Fi Sci starts releasing in Feb '99. On Fi Sci Releases page you will find extracts of upcoming Fi Sci releases: "Taboo" & "Sunzoom" (12" Vinyl) by listen.to/the_sound, - two wicked slabs of jazzy drum'n'bass; and a brief tour of some of the areas being explored on first album on Fi Sci "....eclipse of the moon and falling star", a genre hopping collection of sounds from Fi Sci's more abstract terrain. Ute's first release on Fi Sci will be "Chocolate & Ice Cream" a 4 track EP on vinyl & CD, featuring Thobe on title track & "Not Easy", Carolyn on "Arise & Shine" and D-Zine on "That Summer". For this release the usual Ute suspects are joined by Wade Austin on Tenor Pan (check out his debut album on 2Deep Productions - "Far From Home" with Jason Yarde, Keith Le Blanc, Julie Dexter & our very own Carolyn Smith), Nikki Iles on Keys & Angel on violin & vox. On Resources page there are midi files & sound files; chord progressions, basslines etc. If you're into making music, we hope you dig into them and find something you like. Though we have a lot of experience as musicans, producers etc. the web is still quite new to us so any suggestions would be welcomed.
